Love Cleveland

First Baptist Loves Our Community!
We desire to serve our community in various ways in order to show the love of Christ to those in need.

Summer Projects

1. Habitat House- We have joined with some other churches to a build a habitat house. We have several work days between now an the end of August.

2. Jerusalem Project (July 20-24)- We will be assisting a local missions agency (Ocoee Outreach) with their projects for this week. We will help host over 150 teens from around the country as they are in Cleveland to do backyard Bible clubs, home improvement projects, and evangelism efforts.  We will need people to assist in many different capacities: from preparing food to construction and everything in between.

3. Backyard Bible Clubs- We will be sponsoring four Bible clubs this summer at the Ocoee Village apartment complex-- June 15th, June 29th, July 13th, July 27th.  We will meet at Ocoee Village at 4:30 to cook-out, play games, and minister.

4. Homeless Shelter Ministry- Twice per month on Thursday nights we provide a meal for the local homeless shelter. We meet at The Point at 5:30 and proceed to the shelter to serve food, play games, and minister.

Other Projects:
Love Cleveland- We have two "love Cleveland" days each year. This is a day when we ask every member of our church to serve our community in some capacity.  We all meet at the church at 8:30 for a breakfast and short instructions then proceed to our chosen projects. The next love Cleveland is not until November, but you can be dreaming of practical ways to help people now!

Second Saturday Service- Beginning in September we be doing a monthly service project on the second Saturday of each month. This is a great opportunity for your entire family and/or Sunday school class to serve together.
