CURRENT SERIES

Paradox: Living Counter to Culture
In our new series we will explore the paradoxes of Christian faith. A paradox is something that shouldn't make sense, but it does. This is the way the Christian life appears at times. We will look at  three different paradoxes:

Peace- Power for Every Predicament
As Christians we can expect to have peace to help us in every predicament. This doesn't make sense in popular culture, but it is a truth promised in Scripture.

Forgiveness- Freedom from Failure
In a society that encourages revenge, forgiveness goes against the grain of culture. Forgiveness, however,  is a powerful tool that can provide freedom for you and the people who have failed you.

Humility- Cultivating an Honest Heart in a Dishonest World
Our culture promotes a "get ahead at any cost" mentality. The way of Christ, however, is downward mobility, honesty, selflessness. Christians must work to cultivate honest hearts in a dishonest world.

Just a note- this album artwork for a band that I have never heard, so I can't endorse them. But the picture is perfect for the theme of this series.

Prayer can be the strangest most difficult thing we do as Christians, but it should be simplest most beautiful thing we do.  Come join our current study as we talk about practical ways to begin to enjoy our payer lives.

“He that prays and does not faint will come to recognize that to talk with God is more than to have all prayers granted— that it is the end of all prayer.”
George MacDonald

Balance: Embracing Tension

In this series we discussed the power of living a balanced life.  So often we are torn or experience tension between two opposing ideas, views, or concepts.  Our response should be to allow these competing voices to bring balance to our lives.
